Abstract

The article discusses two personality types managers should exude to be successful in managing the Integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse. The dimension manager defines the content and structure of a conformed dimension and delivers that conformed dimension to downstream clients or fact providers. One of the tasks of the dimension manager is defining the content of the customer dimension. Meanwhile the fact provider responds to late-arriving dimension updates. The fact provider is also responsible for synchronizing dimension releases with other fact providers.
