Abstract

The article discusses the importance of emphasizing on running during a triathlete's off season. The author suggests that triathletes focus on running during winter because running is the hardest sport on their bodies and the hardest to recover from on a day-to-day basis. Triathletes can gain from running on as little as four or five runs per week of 30 to 45 minutes in Australia because of the inclement weather.
