Abstract

The World-wide Web (WWW) works now as the infrastructure over the Internet for multimedia applications. Internet radio is one of those applications and its growth is explosive. We have started operating an Internet Radio station with streaming music services since April 2000. An Internet radio can broadcast music over the network regardless of such geographic restrictions as the traditional radio systems have. There are some problems and services due to the Internet. This paper reports our operation as well as the issues. We propose our idea on some novel radio services as well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
