Abstract

The article presents a research paper which illustrates the isolation and characterization of heavy metal resistant strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa which were isolated from polluted sites in Assiut, Egypt. It mentions that in this research sixty-six isolates of Pseudomonas spp. were kept apart from wastewater of El-Malah canal situated in Assiut, Egypt, and were evaluated for their heavy metal tolerance. Moreover, it is mentioned that resistance to heavy metals, disinfectants, antiobiotics, detergents and other toxic substances were noted in a wide variety of bacteria, particularly in the genus Pseudomonas.
