Abstract
- The article discusses the economic development in Beijing, China. The author stated that the driving force in the Chinese capital's metamorphosis into a worldclass metropolis is the awarding of Olympics to the country. He added that the country has hosted the world's most expensive building, which is the CCTV headquarters and hosted the largest airport. However, the event has tightened the visa controls, which limited the movements of many foreigners on the mainland.
