Abstract
- The article discusses the fight for diversity on television. Television networks are focusing on the amount of cartoons and characters of color that are included due to a push from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in 1999. As a result all major networks have an employee who lobbies fellow executives and producers to keep minorities in the shows. The shows and characters discussed were Cleveland Brown from "Family Guy," "Everybody Hates Chris," and "Grey's Anatomy." INSET: CHARTING TV DIVERSITY.
