Abstract
- The article discusses the challenges of the consolidation of economic and political ties between China and Africa in 2007. It cites the issues that may affect the Chinese-African relations in the future which include the concern over deindustrialization in Africa in the face of Chinese manufacturing capacity. In the author's view, the reshaping of the development plans on Africa is the most significant impact of Chinese ties with the continent. It details the changes on Chinese foreign policy towards Africa since 2006.
