Abstract
- The article focuses on the project regarding replacement of incandescent lamps at Hinkley Point B and other nuclear power stations in Great Britain with custom and standard light emitting diodes (LEDs) designed by British Energy PLC. It states that the replacement LED needed to be colour matched to the lamp it replaced. It reports that British Energy has developed an LED product, model 261, that matched the size and electrical characteristics of the lamp and has service life of 100,000 hours.
