Abstract
- The article reports on the proposal for a new exception to copyright infringement for parody in Great Britain. In the paper "Gowers Report Into Intellectual Property in the UK," Andrew Gowers identified a need to improve the flexibility of intellectual property (IP) rights to allow individuals, businesses and institutions to use content in the digital age. Based on the report, the British Intellectual Property Office proposed an exception for the purposes of caricature, parody or pastiche.
