Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of the summer meeting of the British Ecological Society held in Aberdeen, Scotland on July 16 to 20, 1955. Members of the society visited Hazlehead Woods on July 16. On the 17th, the attendees examined two Iron Age dwellings and almost bare dunes at the Sands of Forvie. The attendees went on an excursion on the 18th. A discussion was held on the 19th on various topics, including heather-dominated communities, and geology and soils of the Glensaugh experimental farm.
