The article presents the secretary's annual report in the previous meetings of the British Ecological Society including the January 14, 1928 annual meeting held in the Botanical Department of the University of Birmingham in Alabama, a summer meeting held in Edinburgh, Scotland from August 30 to September 5, 1928, and an annual foray with the British Mycological Society held on October 27, 1928 at Burnham Beeches. The report discusses issues on ecology.
