Abstract

The article analyzes the roots of a growing issue in biological sciences, which involves biologists' doubt to solve fundamental problems in their field and their increasing belief that these problems can be addressed by other scientists who do not specialize in biological sciences. This belief has a significant impact on science and biologists, in particular, because it makes them feel discourage and inadequate, even those who have already made significant contribution to the field. The author also discusses the possibility that biological educators will soon eliminate or reduce preparation in the biological sciences from the curriculum of biology students, considering that it is the non-biologists who will make future contributions to biological research.
