North American Flora Project Initiated.

The article reports that the Missouri Botanical Garden (MBG) has announced the launch of a project to catalog the plants of North America. The Flora of North America (FNA) project will provide full descriptions and range distributions for the plants of the United States, Canada, Greenland, Saint Pierre and Miquelon. The MBG serves as the organizational center. Its editorial committee members are stationed throughout the United States and Canada. FNA will be available both as a publication and computerized data base.
