Abstract

The article discusses the direction of the newspaper "The Wall Street Journal," and the personnel changes at its Washington D.C. bureau since the takeover by its corporate parent News Corporation. Former managing editor Marcus Brauchli's resignation, allegedly under pressure from chairman Rupert Murdoch, is explored. The role played by the paper's publisher and managing editor, Robert Thomson, is considered. The concern over the fate of the paper's front-page features is discussed.
