Abstract

The article highlights technology that supports quick-turn, short-run in printing machines. Artificial intelligence will continue to drive presses to new levels of sophistication. Komori's Lithrone SX40 press can accommodate a 41-inch sheet. It can start printing at 12,000 speed per hour for significant time and paper savings. The Smart Sequence component of Komori's KHS-AI automates color correction and adjustment. Heidelberg's Anicolor zoneless inking system was designed to help maintain consistent ink film.
