Abstract
- The article presents information on various approaches for an introduction to Biological Sciences. It is stated that scientific evolution can be described in a three-stage process. First, a pool of data is established from which various concepts can be deduced. The second stage involves experimental techniques, which is followed by a systematic examination of hypotheses. The biology course is designed around the organism as its basic unit of study, in which all observations are made with respect to the organism rather than to the cells or the species. The article also presents information on several lectures on Biology, including the concepts of evolution, vertebrates, reproductive mechanisms, and growth and development of vascular plants.
