South Africa: A future research agenda for post-conflict reconstruction.

The article discusses possible areas of future research agenda for post-conflict reconstruction in South Africa. Recognition of post-conflict reconstruction as a high priority is South African foreign policy is proposed. It is said that the country has no well-research plan to back the commitment to promote development abroad. Alignment of development with diplomacy and defense, establishment of needs assessment capacity, investment in science and technology and partnership with business are the four themes on reconstruction that are discussed.
