Abstract
- The article focuses on the American Fare Dollar Program established by Kmart Pharmacy, where private-label over-the-counter (OTC) products are offered for $1 with a prescription purchase. Kmart, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sears Holdings Corp., launched the program in March 2008 in Florida and said it will be available in all stores with pharmacies by April. Under the program, customers can choose 10 OTC medications from Kmart's proprietary American Fare brand.
