Soviet and Western Politics in Hungary, 1944-1947.

The article reports that Hungary was the last of the Axis satellites to conclude an armistice agreement (AA) with the Allies. The AA provided that the Allied Control Commission (ACC) would be under the general direction of the Soviet High Command until the conclusion of hostilities against Germany. During the armistice period, Hyngary could not renew diplomatic relations without permission of the ACC.
