BRC has global hopes for take-up of new standard.

The article reports that British Retail Consortium (BRC) has hoped that its accreditations will be used more widely by businesses after revamping its packaging standard in the U.S. and Far East. It is stated that the third version of the "Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials" has been widened to include non-food. Moreover, it is noted that 53% of businesses have used the standards are Great Britain-based, and only 1% come from the U.S.
