Chapter 11 of "The Life of William Ewart Gladstone," Book 4, is presented. It highlights the political career of Gladstone in Great Britain in 1859. In March of this year, Gladstone found the conservatives with much ineffectual industry, some misplaced ingenuity, and many misgivings and divisions, trying their hands at parliamentary reform.
