Landmark Papers in Concrete Materials Research.

The article offers information about the session organized by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee, ACI Committee 120 and History of Concrete at the ACI Spring 2008 Convention in Los Angeles, California. It will pay tribute to selected landmark papers in concrete materials research and to recognize the importance of materials innovations to the concrete community. These papers will be presented during the two sessions at the convention wherein industry experts will describe the content of the paper and its impact on the concrete industry. Some of these landmark papers include "Expansion of Concrete through Reaction Between Cement and Aggregate," by T.E. Stanton and "Calculations of the Compounds in Portland Cement," by R.H. Bogue.
