Abstract

The article reports that a Japanese language website called North Korea Today, focusing on North Korean affairs, reported that Kim Jong-Nam will be the successor to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il. The article, written by Keiji Abe, a researcher on the DPRK and an author, quotes a Beijing intelligence source who apparently told a certain Japanese government office that Kim Jong-Nam is certain to become the successor to Kim Jong-Il. Kim Jong-Nam is the oldest son of the dictator and had been rumored to be the heir to Kim.
