Abstract
- Chapter I of the book "The House of the Mist" is presented. It discusses the arrival of a young country girl in the eastern part of Pennsylvania who visited the house where fashionable people made their life a perpetual holiday as well as describes the design and surroundings of the house of mist which was closed for a long period of time. It also highlights the experiences and activities undertaken by the girl while alone in the house with Allison.
