The Arts Support System in a Transitional Society: Romania 1990-2006.

The article underscores the arts support system in Romania from 1990-2006. The author in this undertaking examines the arts support system in this country, scrutinizing whether the cultural policies during 1990-2006 have contributed to the growth of the arts sector, the independence of artists, and the improvement of artistic creativity. He argued that the institutional configurations and the collective mentalities that prevail the cultural sector and public policy have strongly affected the cultural policy in this country.
