Abstract

Chapter 8 of the book "By Right of Conquest Or, With Cortez in Mexico" is presented. It explores the realization of Roger Hawkshaw that his distinction of being a descendant of Quetzalcoatl has been taken advantage and describes his depression because he can do nothing to stop the flux of death among slaves in Tabasco, Mexico. It also highlights Roger's appreciation of the magnificence of the constructed houses in Tezcuco.
