Abstract
- Chapter 23 of the book "Good Old Anna" is presented. It depicts the surgical operation of Jervis Blake's injured foot and the significance of the operation to the self esteem of the person. It also describes the anxiety, anguish and disappointments of Jervis' parents on hearing of the unfavorable operation and their unexplained fears that their son cannot accept the aftereffect of the surgery.
