Abstract
- The article explores whether advertising ratecard is still relevant to the magazine publishing business. Peter Sprague of Gearhead Communications thinks the ratecard will be decreasingly relevant as a higher percentage of business moves into customized multi-media packages. Still, publishers do believe in the ratecard, at least as a starting point for negotiation and as a way to publicize legal and mechanical requirements like ad disclaimers and formats. It relates the challenges of dealing with online ratecards.
