The article presents information on the 3-D laser scanning project of Blowmold Supply in Jackson, Minnesota. The company builds molds and machine components to blow mold bottles. It also makes the equipment to make plastic containers and sells tooling to manufacture beverage bottles, bottle tops and pop tops. The challenge of making a new gallon jug is discussed. The 3-D laser scanning system was developed by GKS Inspection Services.
