Abstract

The article discusses the application of microarray technologies in clinical oncology in the U.S. It states that the success of a human genome project and innovations in microarray technologies lead to opportunities for developments in cancer research. Microarray tools are applied to evaluate genetic markers and gene expression in cancer detection. The technology is use as a diagnostic and prognotic tool in medicine. It is also used to monitor and predict results in clinical trials.
