Migrart Women in Male-Dominated Sectors of the Labour Market: A Research Agenda.

The article focuses on the research conducted by Parvati Raghuram on migrant women in male-dominated sectors in the labour market in Great Britain. Result shows that there are a great increase in female labour migration such as domestic workers, sex workers and nurses. It reveals that some women migrated to work or study abroad to circumvent career blockages in their home country or to break out of the gender discriminatory practices within education or gender discrimination in employment while some migrated for economic survival or due to familial hardships.
