Abstract

The article reports on the growing economic rates in Africa over the past 10 years, as of November 2007. According to the World Bank, economic growth rates in sub-Saharan Africa have started to catch up with the rest of the developing world. The report, Africa Development Indicator 2007, concluded that growth in the decade from 1995 differed strikingly with the collapses of the years between 1975 and 1985, and the stagnations of the next 10 years. It states that for the first time in three decades African economies are growing with rest of the world with an average growth of 5.4% in 2005 and 2006.
