Abstract
- The article focuses on the efforts of Japan to campaign for regional cooperation in East Asia. As the country prepares to improve its presence in global politics, it attempts to manage the politico-security and economic affairs in East Asia because of the region's increasing role in the country's peace and prosperity. As part of the country's campaign, Japanese businesses have established two region-wide production and distribution networks, one with Southeast Asia and the other with China.
