Abstract
- The article discusses the health and safety considerations in the installation of weighbridges at waste management sites. Weighbridges are considered a key area risk since at peak times, they can cause a bottleneck and drivers may be tempted to leave their vehicles to stretch their legs. According to the document "Safe Transport in Waste Management and Recycling Facilities" released by the British Health and Safety Executive (HSE), access to the weighbridge should be simple and straightforward.
