Abstract

The article focuses the general conditions of employment of ground staff in the aviation sector in the U.S. It analyzes the occupational content of the air traffic controller's functions. Various national practices are compared with regard to some aspects of the conditions of work of the staff concerned. Air traffic control service plays an important role in the provision of safety in air navigation. There has been a heavier workload for the air traffic control units that has led to the expansion of facilities.
