Abstract

The article profiles miniaturist Antonis Rogiersz. uten Broec who was active in southern Netherlands in the mid-fifteenth century. The artist can be identified because he signed his work twice. He contributed two manuscripts where he included his name and worked on three other Southern-Netherlandish manuscripts. His style in the five manuscripts reemerged in a group of illuminated manuscripts produced in the 1460s in Utrecht. The author points out that despite the attribution of the manuscripts to Master of the Boston, he still believed that they were done by Antonis.
