"Paper Geoscapes, or Return of the Luddites-Not!".

The article presents the author's views concerning the decision of the Natural Resources Canada to discontinue sales of paper topographic maps effective from January 2007. According to the author, paper maps are much quicker and easier for users to comprehend, and are more user-friendly for users than are digital maps. He suggests that map librarians should move forward with the digitization as most users most want to access information online from wherever they are.
