Abstract
- The author reflects on factors considered as language barriers in medical care in the U.S. Problems arise when clinicians and their patients speak different languages. With this, patient care and clinical outcomes could be affected. The patient could not effectively communicate his or her complaints or that the clinician most likely failed to communicate a diagnosis and recommendations.
