Abstract

The article presents medical research that found therapy with anti-γ-glutamyl transpeptidase antibody attenuates osteolysis in mice with collagen-induced arthritis. γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) functions as a bone-resorbtion factor that stimulates the formation of osteoclasts. Immunohistochemistry and real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) were used to determine GGT expression.
