Abstract

The article discusses the functions of recombinant allergens in the diagnosis and treatment of atopic allergy. It highlights the allergen-specific monitoring of immunoglobulin antibodies against allergens in childhood including the characterization of cross-reactions in accordance with the molecular structures of allergens. It also discusses several approaches to the production of new molecules for the treatment of birch-pollen allergy.
