Contributions of agricultural economics to critical policy issues: selected papers presented at the XXVI IAAE conference.

Information about several papers discussed at the 26th Conference of the International Association of Agricultural Economics (IAAE) is presented. Papers focused on the prospects for reducing hunger and poverty by means of either targeted support measures or by initiating ways to improve the access of the poor people on factor markets and institutions. Meanwhile, another paper offers a stylized microsimulation model with material from a remote village in Northern Ethiopia.
