Abstract
- The article examines the legal history of Canada. Bora Laskin's book "The British Tradition in Canadian Law" was taken into account. The unsuccessful attempt to write a history of Canadian law during the 1960's was discussed. Theorist Anthony Giddens' word about modernity as institutions and modes of behavior was pointed out. Horace Reed's contribution to history of Canadian law was considered. Information about the professionalization of the discipline during the post-war Canada is further presented.
