Abstract
- The article identifies problems with teaching guides used in nuclear age education in the U.S. The authors argue that the materials are designed to frighten students with nuclear war, provide a sympathetic image of the Soviet Union, cast doubt on U.S. military and arms control policy, and encourage anti-nuclear student activism. Examples of nuclear age teaching materials are mentioned.
