Abstract
- The article discusses how several brands are developing mobile applications, rather than use the cell phone as just a venue for media buys. Some of the brands are using their large distribution and marketing channels to promote the utilities. The move by brands to create applications comes as surveys show that consumers are concerned that cell phones will turn into another source of advertising exposure. The article examines several efforts being launched from different brands.
