Abstract

The article focuses on the controversy surrounding the cancellation of the Tactical, Strike, and Reconnaissance aircraft (TSR-2) during the tenure of British Prime Minister Harold Wilson. It discusses several documents pertaining to the project that showed the prevailing political debates about the project between October 1964 and April 1965. Moreover, it cites the study conducted by Stephen Hastings in 1966 that attempted to uncover the realities behind the controversial project. Furthermore, it traces the development of the TSR project beginning from its conceptualization in 1957 up to its cancellation in 1965.
