Abstract

The article discusses the development of global capitalism and the dilapidation of employment policy in various countries in general, and in the U.S., in particular. It provides statistics related to the labor market and industrial developments. It also presents an analysis of the success of labor market deregulation in the U.S. as well as in other member countries of the Organizations for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The advocacy of greater wage dispersal by the OECD is addressed.
