Epidemiology of Multiple Myeloma in Taiwan.

The article offers information on a study which investigated the epidemiology of multiple myeloma in Taiwan. The study calculated the annual incidence and mortality of multiple myeloma in the country. It also analyzed the age-period-cohort effects to the world standard population in the year 2000. It reveals that the incidence of the disease has dramatically increased and is associated with a birth-cohort effect.
