Abstract

The article discusses a study on the use of droloxifene as first-line endocrine treatment for metastatic breast cancer. The study, which uses the criteria of the World Health Organization to evaluate tumor response, involves postmenopausal patients with advanced breast cancer with measurable lesions. Results showed that an over-all response rate of 51 percent was recorded when 100 milligrams of droloxifene was administered as first-line endocrine treatment for advanced breast cancer patients.
