Abstract

The article talks about the regional business climate in the Netherlands. It states in their assessment of the national business climate of the country, Statistics Netherlands used a total of 70 indicators for the regional business climate, which are grouped into two broad categories and eight subcategories, such as stimulants for economic growth and conditions for economic growth. It is inferred that the Netherlands as a country is just too small to relate business climate and economic growth on the subnational level. According to the authors, regional differences in factor conditions on the spatial scale of the country are just too small to influence economic growth to a really significant degree.
