Abstract

This article focuses on the book "Immigration to Denmark: International and National Perspectives," by David Coleman and Eskil Wadensjö In this book seven papers examine immigration to Denmark. Papers also discusses the policy responses of European governments to migration processes and the novel problems presented by large numbers of immigrants, particularly those from outside Europe, migration to and from Denmark during the period 1960-97, the debate in Denmark's newspapers on the labor force migrations of the 1960s and 1970s, how the debate altered in the 1980s as a consequence of the increased number of refugees seeking asylum in Denmark.
